I was provided a Cricut Bright Pad for the purposes of this post and review. As always all opinions are 100% my own.

In case you didn’t hear, Cricut just had a HUGE even in Utah, The Cricut Make-a-Thon where they introduced not one, not two, but THREE brand new AMAZING products to their already exceptional line up. First up, the Cricut Maker, the holy grail of cutting machines. Now…don’t be worried, the Cricut Explore Air is not going anywhere, nor will it become obsolete. The Maker has abilities that the Explore just does not have, the major one being a ROTARY cutting blade that will cut literally ANY fabric. Next month I’ll be attending a Cricut Event right here in Atlanta, and I hope to bring back a ton more information on this brilliant new machine!
The second product is a heat press…YOU GUYS…a Cricut made HEAT PRESS! This is my dream (and a huge need). They call it the Cricut EasyPress, and it pretty much looks thebomb.com. Get crazy-simple, professional iron-on results that last and last (and last!). With its huge heating surface, simple controls, and thoughtful safety features, Cricut EasyPress will make you wonder how you ever made do with that old, clunky iron. All I know is, I’m excited again to make some cute graphic tee’s for my kids! My iron just wasn’t cutting it!
And last, but certainly not least, Cricut has released the Cricut BrightPad for weeding, tracing, and delicate crafting {like jewelry making}. With its adjustable LED light and ultraslim profile, Cricut BrightPad lets you see every detail as you’re weeding, tracing, paper-piecing quilt patterns, or jewelry making. It’s especially suited to lighting up those hard-to-see cut lines in vinyl and iron-on. It’s seriously light as a feather, easily portable, and doesn’t get hot. I’ve sat with it on my lap for nearly an hour, and it didn’t get hot at all.
The Cricut BrightPad currently retails for $79.99 on the Cricut website.

I used my BrightPad just the other morning while my kids were eating breakfast and I was having my morning cup of survival coffee. Dawn Nicole Designs has a bunch of awesome practice sheets for hand lettering. I love her motivational sheets and of course these different font choice ones too! I used my Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers for this particular day, and my kids pretty much thought mommy was magic when I turned the BrightPad on and we could see the practice sheet through a piece of white cardstock.
It was easy, fast, and fun to use while finishing up my coffee. I have a few of her practice sheets available in my homeschool crate now for those times when my kids are working on assignments, and I have a minute or two to myself. Luckily this is one form of creativity that only requires a minute or two!
Have any of you gotten your hands on the new products from Cricut yet?! I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
