This post is sponsored by Cricut, a company that I adore. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
I often get asked how regularly I use my Cricut. The answer to that question is weekly, for sure. I use it for small, simple, things such as labeling baked goods in my pantry {flour, sugar, salt, etc…}. I use it for creating a quick Graduation Card to take to a grad party with a gift card. I use it for party decor for holidays and birthdays. I use it to make a fun coloring sheet for my littles. And most recently I used it to customize a fun and simple Thank You Coloring card from Cricut Access {view Cricut Access Membership Plans here} for my boys to give to friends that came to their birthday party.
So, will you use your Cricut enough to justify the price? My answer…yes.
If you celebrate Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, yes.
If you want to make functional and cute labels for your kid’s toy room, yes.
If you want to make a tag for a little neighbor gift around the holidays, yes.
If you have kids in school and need a cute monogram for a teacher gift, yes.
If you have a planner, and want to make your own stickers, yes.
If you like to create your own, one-of-a-kind, handmade from the heart gifts or cards or decor, then YES!
In fact, I can guarantee the cost will completely pay for itself after taking care of party decor, invitations, thank you notes, and favors after just one child’s birthday party. Think about all the pieces involved in throwing a big birthday party…
invitations
cupcake toppers
smash cake topper
food tents
table confetti

favor tags
thank you notes
gift tags
table decor
If you go out to your party or craft store or even Etsy and try to buy all those things, the cost will well exceed the cost of buying a Cricut and materials needed to create it all on your own. And if it doesn’t, it will come pretty darn close if you ask me!
Currently, if you purchase the Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint Machine + Deluxe Starter Set, the cost is $259.99.
One function of the Cricut that I’ve just started using is thee writing feature. I got my hands on their Ultimate Fine Point Pen Set {and these pens are SERIOUSLY my new favorite thing}. I use them ALL.THE.TIME. even when I’m not using them in my Cricut. They are my new favorite planner pen, hands down. And the variety of colors is amazing! Here is an entire page on Design Space of Make it Now Pen Projects!
I wanted to make a quick, candy-free thank you note for my kids to give to their friends this summer after their birthdays and perused Cricut Design Space for some inspiration. Originally, these sweet cards were meant to be a Valentine {also equally as adorable}, but you know it’s June, not February. So instead, I clicked on “Customize” and switched the clever Valentine saying to “thank you for coming to my party!”.
Simple to make and assemble, plus the kids had a blast coloring a few before giving them to their friends.
