Over the weekend I broke out my Cricut Explore Air 2 to make a simple banner for my been-bare-since-Christmas mantel. I go all out for the holidays. My house is decorated from top to bottom. After that, I feel like it’s a little downhill, ha! This year I’m trying to simplify. I’m purging and donating unused or unwanted items from our home every single week {or so it seems}. With that, I’m noticing that I don’t have much “decor” left for all seasons in our house. Luckily, it’s been Cricut to the rescue this spring!
To make this Easy Easter Bunny Banner, I used an image of my own of a bunny silhouette {just do a quick Google image search until you find one you like}, and the shape tool on Design Space to create the triangle pennants and small circle holes for the ribbon of the banner itself.
Materials needed for this project include:
Cricut® Cardstock 12×12, Sorbet Sampler | Cricut® Cardstock 12×12, Basics Sampler {I used the white only} | white ribbon | school glue or gluestick | Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine | Cricut® 12×12 LightGrip Adhesive Cutting Mat
Once my bunnies and pennants were cut, I secured each bunny to a pennant flag using plain old white school glue. I only attached each bunny at the middle, so the ears kind of jump off the paper, giving it a three-dimensional appearance.
Once my bunnies were dry, I strung some simple white ribbon through the circular holes I cut at the top of each pennant and attached the entire banner to my mantel. Along with some spring florals, candles, and faux eggs, I think the Easter Bunny Banner helped it came together beautifully.
Besides the amazing-ness that is Cricut Cardstock {y’all…the quality is seriously THE BEST I’ve ever used}. Here’s a close up shot of the yardstick. I love the texture of the paper!
