I’ve got a lil’ bit in my family that just celebrated her first birthday. That’s right…no more babies in this house {well, she’s still totally a baby}, but I often tell her she’s a big girl now when we’re chatting {you know, mom talking to the baby, like the baby understands…that sort of thing}.
Since this lil’ bit is working on becoming a big girl, we’ve begun the process of introducing new foods to her each week. Softness, size, and texture is always an issue {at least for my kiddos} when it comes to starting to try new foods. We’ve been a Gerber family since my first born started eating foods, and our littlest love is definitely following in big brother’s footsteps. I’m excited for her to start out with a new product from Gerber, Lil’ Bits. It’s specifically designed to help little ones learn to chew. How great is that?!
Lil’ Bits recipes come in 7 fruits and 3 veggies. Fruits are: Apple Blueberry, Orchard Fruit Medley, Apple Banana, Banana Apple Strawberry, Pear Apple Berry, Island Fruit Blend and Banana Apple Mango. Veggies are: Mixed Carrots, Corn & Butternut Squash, Butternut Squash & Potato, Sweet Potato Apple Carrots & Cinnamon
Gerber was kind enough to send a few samples my way, and I’ve got to say that the Apple Blueberry flavor was definitely my little girl’s favorite. Her big brothers love blueberries, so I knew this would be a hit with her too!
{Don’t all of the flavors sound AMAZING?! I’d totally eat them myself, but I know…they’re for the baby}!
We love Gerber Lil’ Bits because…
- Gerber‘s new Lil’ Bits recipes help babies learn to mash and chew
- They are made with perfectly sized soft bit of fruits or veggies that help your baby learn to chew.
- Gerber is the only baby food company in the country which uses a special cooking method that gives Lil’ Bits recipes the right texture and perfectly sized soft bits to help babies master chewing.
- Chewing is an essential milestone in a baby’s development; Lil’ Bits recipes offer a gradual texture progression which helps babies learn the skills they need to transition to table food.
I’m excited to continue to try out different flavors with my littlest, and watch her learn to love meal times thanks to Gerber!
