Last year I was part of a HUGE Red, White, and Blue Roundup with over 100 amazing and super talented bloggers. Well, it was so popular last year, that we’re back at it again with MORE perfectly patriotic food, decor, and craft ideas!
My addition to the roundup is so simple and you can actually use it year round by switching out the decor you add to the wreath.
To make a Patriotic Burlap Wreath, you’ll first need to make a plain burlap wreath using the following materials…
I used about 4 rolls of burlap ribbon in making this wreath, so definitely wait until it’s on sale at the craft store or have a really great coupon saved to use to purchase them! To make the wreath, you basically work from the back to the front, pushing a section of ribbon through each of the three layers.
Once the burlap is pushed through all three sections, twist the remainder of burlap {on the backside of the wreath}, and begin again starting with the inner most circle working your way out.
Once it’s completely filled, fluff the burlap to your liking.
Since this wreath can and should absolutely be used and reused all throughout the year, don’t glue any decor to it directly! Just attach with some floral wire, it works perfectly!
