Being a mom of three kiddos, three and under, can at times be a bit demanding. I am fortunate to be able to stay at home with my littles and see them grow and develop every second of the day, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. Especially since my boys are getting bigger, I make it a point to sit down with them for breakfast everyday. Sometimes I’ve got lots of time and we have a warm meal that takes a little while to prepare. Most days, I’ll be honest, we don’t have time for that. On those days, my go to breakfast to fuel our busy day is Cheerios + OJ!
Let’s be honest…Cheerios are the the BEST baby/toddler food ever. Sawyer will demonstrate…
They’re the perfect size for little fingers to practice fine motor skills needed to pick up baby and toddler foods, plus they pretty much melt in their little mouths.
My big boys LOVE them too. Sometimes we branch out and attempt adding milk to our Cheerios bowls, but most of the time they love to just snack on them with their fingers.
Yes, this was mom trying to take her pretty blog picture and the boys not being able to wait to dig in. They love to snack on those little “o’s”!
One fun way that I we like to use our OJ is in our famous “Hulk Juice”. For purposes of this post, my Hulk Juice did not turn out as green as it should have been. I had a bit too many strawberries in the blender this time. When this happens, my oldest refers to it as “IronMan Juice”. We started making these delicious smoothies a few years ago, trying to get my oldest to eat more fruits and veggies. At the time he was on a pretty {self proclaimed} strict diet of crackers, milk, and the occasional fruit pouch. To get some good nutrients back into his system my husband came up with this concoction:
For any spinach haters out there…I promise, you don’t taste it at all! This is our favorite breakfast or pick me up drink, especially with the warmer weather that’s been sticking around lately.
This #BetterBreakfast routine is even easier with coupons from Cheerios and in-store savings at Publix {where I probably visit at least twice a week and most of the employees know my kiddos by name}.
Let’s talk about Florida OJ and Cheerios
An 8 oz glass of 100% Florida orange juice gives you 100% vitamin C to help you maintain a healthy immune system. Orange juice is one of the most nutrient-rich fruit juices commonly consumed in the United States – it provides a good source of potassium for heart health, the B vitamins thiamin and folate and is an excellent source of vitamin C.
Cheerios’ wholesome goodness is made from whole-grain oats and without artificial flavors or colors. It is low in fat and cholesterol free. And these wholesome little “o’s” have only one gram of sugar per serving!
Let’s talk SAVINGS
