I shared this wreath a few weeks ago at Create.Craft.Love as part of the Winter Wreath workshop. In case you missed it then, I wanted to be sure to share it here with all of you!
Since becoming a mom of three {under the age of three I might add}, my crafting time has nearly almost ceased to exist. If I’m lucky, maybe once or twice a week they all nap at the same time and after I’ve finally had a chance to eat some lunch, brush my teeth, and if I’m being completely honest here, use the bathroom, I might have another 20-30 minutes to get a little crafty. So my crafts have to be quick! That’s why I’m in love with my new Glitter Chevron Christmas Wreath, because from start to finish, it might have taken ten minutes…tops!
Materials needed:
FloraCraft foam wreath form
wired Christmas ribbon
glittery Christmas floral stems
floral pins
My number one tip for making this wreath is do it outside! Tiny foam pieces and glitter will cover your floor and work surface. Do yourself a favor, avoid having to break out the vacuum and get crafting outside!
To start, grab a few floral pins and pin the beginning of your ribbon inside or on the back side of your wreath form. Then slowly and carefully wrap the ribbon around the wreath form, making sure that it looks even and lays nicely. This will be the most time consuming part of creating your wreath.
Once it’s all wrapped up, secure the end with another floral pin or two, and you’re more than halfway done!
Now grab the floral stems you’ve got and use the little pockets that your wrapped ribbon created to stick the stems into. You can secure them with a floral pin or two if needed, but my pockets were so tight, it wasn’t necessary.
The beauty of this wreath {besides the fact that it takes less than 10 minutes to make}?! You can use whatever colors and patterns you’d like. All of my Christmas decor is red and white with a bit of silver mixed in, so that’s why I went with these colors!
Have you started making Christmas decor yet? It’s never too early in my opinion!
