I’m so excited to be teaming up with over 100 bloggers today to bring you the Ultimate Red, White, and Blue Roundup. That’s right! Over 100 fantastic crafts, decor ideas, and recipes all perfect to celebrate the Summer {and of course, Independence Day}.
For my red, white, and blue themed idea, I created a patriotic garden flag, perfect for a flower bed, garden, or front yard!

To make your own, you’ll need:
burlap
red, white, and blue fabric
heat & bond
star ornaments
garden flag holder {found at Lowe’s}
To start, I used my Cricut Explore to cut blue fabric with the words “Land of the Free”. To cut fabric using the Cricut Explore, you simply iron on Heavy Duty Heat & Bond to the wrong side of the fabric, stick the fabric onto a 12 x 12 mat {Heat & Bond side to the mat}, and make your cuts. It’s easy as can be and cuts like a dream!
To attach the letters to my burlap flag, I simply peeled the Heat & Bond paper and placed a scrap piece of fabric over the letters before ironing.
I created a loop at the top of the flag to slide onto the flag holder and secured it with hot glue. I also added scraps of red, white, and blue fabric and some star ornaments before hanging it outside.
Happy Summer & Happy 4th of July to all of you!
