Raise your hand if you’re ready for Spring?
This girl is FOR SURE! I’ve got an easy and colorful way to bring Spring into your home NOW {yes, even if it’s still 30 something degrees outside and you can see more snow than grass}.
To make your own chalk paint mason jar, you’ll need the following supplies:
chalk paint
foam brush
mason jar {I used a recycled pizza sauce jar}
twine
hot glue/glue gun
floral stems
First things, first. Put down some newspaper, get out your foam brush, and paint that mason jar! Mine only needed one coat {love when that happens}. There are some spots that are streaky and unpainted, but that’s the look I was going for with this project!
Once my mason jar was dry, I wanted to add some jute twine to the rim to give the project a more finished look. Using a few dabs of hot glue, I wrapped the rim of the jar a couple of times, cut and arranged my floral stems, and voila!
I now have a brand new, perfect for Spring-time vase that I’ve added to my Spring mantel. Best part about the entire project?! I already had everything on hand…those are the best kinds of projects if you ask me!
Have you ever used chalk paint before? I’d love to see how you used it!
