This past week, I had the absolute honor and privilege of traveling to Salt Lake City with about 100 other bloggers to attend the Cricut Explore launch party event. I may have been there for less than 24 hours, but it was a fantastic, well thought out, full of detail, totally awesome experience. The entire Cricut team left no detail untouched from travel arrangements, to swag bags, to decor, to delicious meals…everything was perfect. AND, pretty much everything we did or saw somehow involved their brand new cutting machine, the Cricut Explore™.
{Mr. Cricut LOVES Blogs! What a way to be picked up from the airport!}
So, you’ve already got a cutting machine? And maybe your loyal to another brand?
I’m hear to SHOUT from the rooftops that I have a feeling you are going to change your mind about your current cutting machine situation.
Check this out {and then we’ll break it down with a nice bullet pointed list.}
Amazing, huh?!
It now has the ability to cut and write in one step!
And {I think this is my most favorite feature}, with the Smart Set Dial you don’t have to worry about complicated pressure and thickness settings anymore! You can even create custom settings for different materials!
MSRP on the Cricut Explore is $299 {which includes the machine, a tote bag for no-hassle portability and storage} access to the Cricut Design Space {their brand spankin’ new software}, FIFTY FREE projects and a sketch pen!
You’ll have access to their entire image library with over 50K designs for $.99 an image.
OR, you can purchase a monthly subscriptions of $9.99 to have unlimited access to 25K images and 200 fonts. I’ll just go on record now saying that I think the monthly subscription is a fabulous deal!
You can even upload your own files and images including jpg, gif, bmp, png and svg {woo hoo} at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
If you’re a loyal Cricut customer and have already invested a lot of money into their cartridges, don’t worry! You can upload them just once through your machine and they will forever and ever be stored on your Cricut Design Space! {See…they’ve thought of everything}!
I’m sure I will have lots more information for you as we get closer and closer to the official sale of the Cricut Explore, and I know that the awesome team at Cricut has so many fun events up their sleeves to promote the new machine. So, for all things Cricut, please don’t hesitate to contact me and ask away. I’m happy to pass along any questions or suggestions you all may have.
Until then, mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 12th as the Cricut Explore will be sold for the first time on HSN. It will then be available in stores by mid March.
So excited!!
Here’s a peak at just some of the absolutely AMAZING projects that can be made with the all new Cricut Explore…
Our first night at the launch event all the bloggers were treated to a delicious dinner accompanied by a fun couple rounds of BINGO, a keynote address by Mr. Ashish Arora himself, lots of dancing, and fun Instagram pictures.
The next day, we all got some one on one training with the Cricut team and were treated to a full day of crafting and creating! Everything seen in the pictures was made with the Cricut Explore!
The Utah room was by far my most favorite room. Maybe it’s because I was smack in the middle of Salt Lake City in the dead of winter with frigid temperatures and snow all around, but a cozy cottage feel was just what this southern gal needed! The s’mores bar was too cute, the mixture of logs and flowers in the fireplace was gorgeous, and the beautiful, rustic tablescape was the perfect finishing touch! I spent my last few minutes in this room relaxing and creating with some of my best blogging buddies. I even had time to create the fun map and heart vinyl decal for my iPad Mini before I headed back to the airport.
All in all, my trip was fantastic, the Cricut team was awesome and so hospitable, and this girl is super pumped to start creating with the brand new Cricut Explore™.

Hi, Will the Cricut Explore work with the IPAD mini and will it also work with the Craft Room?

It will have the capability to work with the iPad. You’ll have to purchase a bluetooth adapter to use the wireless technology.
And the new Cricut Explore will use Cricut Design Space…it’s FANTASTIC and so easy to use!
