I was provided a free wreath form from my friends at FloraCraft to make this wreath. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
I’ve been in a wreath making mood lately. With the holidays approaching, I’m also getting quite eager for a couple of Christmas wreaths I’ve got brewing in my mind. For now, I’m excited to share a fun wreath for Fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving all rolled into one.
To make your own pumpkin wreath, you’ll need:
1/4 yard orange burlap
Styrofoam wreath form {FloraCraft}
orange jute twine
tan jute twine
dark brown jute wrapped floral wire
green curly floral stem
floral pins
straight pins
hot glue gun/glue sticks
To start, I cut the orange burlap into strips and secured it around the entire wreath form using a couple of floral pins {the ones that are u-shaped}. I also used the floral pins to attach the curly green “vine” to the top of my pumpkin.
To hide the stem of the green “vine”, I wrapped a section at the top with regular jute twine.
I then began to roll small and larger flat spirals with the orange jute twine. To do this, I simply wrapped it around and around and put a dot of hot glue every once in a while to secure the shape.
I alternated pinning small and large spirals around the front edge of the wreath. I also added a couple of brown floral wire curls to the top of the pumpkin as well, to act as part of the stem off the regular jute twine stem.
Soon I had this super cute pumpkin wreath, perfect for Fall! I’m planning to leave this one up until Thanksgiving {one holiday at a time, right?!}.
What’s on your front door now? Is it Fall inspired or are you already prepping for the Christmas holidays?
