I don’t know about your family, but we are definitely a Monster’s Inc. and Monster’s University kinda bunch. Our little guy absolutely adores Sulley, Mike, and all of their friends. That’s why I was SO excited to surprise him this past week by taking him to Walmart for a little “just because” gift and grab the new {and exclusive to Walmart} Monsters University 2-Disc Blu-ray + DVD + Infinity Figure Combo Pack. While we were there we even took a peek at the selection of Monster’s U toys and picked out a totally awesome “My Scare Pal Sulley” toy.
He was one happy and excited little boy! Before we headed home, I grabbed a few ingredients for a Mike & Sulley inspired snack for our family to enjoy that afternoon while we finally got to watch Monster’s University.
To make Monster Munch, you’ll need:
microwave popcorn
1/2 c pretzel sticks
1 cup white chocolate chips
teal, purple, and lime green sprinkles
teal, purple, and lime green chocolate coated candies
googly eye candies
Making Monster Munch is SO easy.
1. Pop the popcorn and pour into a large bowl.
2. Melt the white chocolate according to package directions.
3. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn and toss to coat.
4. Add the remaining ingredients and continue to toss and stir the monster munch.
5. Lay out the monster munch flat on parchment paper for at least 20 minutes to set, and serve!
With our snack ready to go, we were all eager to finally get to watch Monster’s University. Since our little guy was barely two when the movie came out, we didn’t take him to see it in theaters. It was definitely worth the wait. He was quickly reminded just how much he loves watching his Monster pals {and I think was shocked that he was seeing them in a new movie}.
His pals Sulley and Mike even joined in on the viewing fun!
We had a blast watching Monster’s U for the first time together this week and in all honesty have watched it probably every day since! What can I say?! Two year old like repetition!
Happy Scaring!
