I’m sure you may have seen in my Instagram feed or perhaps through Facebook, but I’ve jumped on the Project Life bandwagon. What is Project Life, you ask? Are you living under a rock?-I reply. I’m kidding…kind of.
Project Life is in one, completely made up spelling of a word, AH-MAZING! It’s a super easy way to scrapbook and document memories and to get those 100’s {more likely 1000’s} of pictures out of your phones and computers and into a beautiful, tangible album. You need just five things to get started:
I actually haven’t gotten an album yet, but everything else, yes I’ve got it {plus a little bit more for added fun}.
The Project Life Core Kit I chose is the Midnight Edition. It contains 616 double sided, coordinating cards. Some have space to write, others are merely decorative, all are unbelievably adorable!
I’ve also got Photo Pocket Pages to create each layout. I chose the Big Variety pack to spice things up a bit.
You also need your photos and a few nice pens. I also recommend purchasing a round corner paper punch and having a paper cutter on hand, but they aren’t mandatory.
Project Life is a “back-to-basics” approach and was very appealing to me as I’ve never successfully completed a traditional scrapbook. To me, the process seemed so much easier, cost effective, and way more organized.
I loved that they even suggested the specific cards for the layouts of the first and last pages. I went ahead and assembled those first, so I didn’t accidentally use a card on another page by mistake.
See, cute as a button already, isn’t it?
After the first and last pages were done, I got to work on my first “spread” {or two page layout}.
Let’s zoom in to check out the details, shall we?!
I decided to start my first Project Life Album with a few pages leading up to the birth of our second son, Henry. I wanted to show what we did that Summer with Jackson leading up to his little brother’s arrival.
It was so much fun to look back on all of our adventures from earlier in the Summer months!
My goal is to set aside time each month, hopefully twice a month, to work on layouts from the previous couple of weeks. Then, of course I’ll share my layouts with you all as I create them!
Ready to start your own Project Life Album?
