Before I get to today’s tutorial, I’ve got a few awesome announcements!
The Big Blogiversary Giveaway that I celebrated with my friend Barbara at Chase the Star has ended after an overwhelming amount of entries! Thank you so much to everyone that helped us celebrate! To see if you won, please click HERE {and congrats to both winners–check your emails as I will be contacting you today to receive your prize}!
And secondly,
I’m absolutely HONORED to share that I’m guest posting over at my friend Jen’s blog today. Perhaps you’ve heard of her…she’s the brains behind one of my absolute favorite blogs to read each and everyday, Tatertots & Jello. I’d love for you to stop by for a peak at some really simple Easter egg decor I created. HUGE THANKS to Jen for having me over today!
Now, on to today’s regularly scheduled programming…
I’ve got a fun little Easter basket idea for those of you that don’t like the thought of another candy overloaded holiday for your kiddos. While Starbust jelly beans are absolutely delicious, too many of them are never good for your teeth!
I’ve found a few variations of this simple and fast Easter idea around blogosphere, but most recently, I saw it again at one of my favorite blogs, Uncommon Designs.
To make
Goldfish Carrots
you’ll need:
triangle shaped treat bags or clear frosting bags
green ribbon in a few varieties
goldfish
Assembly is super easy! Simply fill the treat bags with your desired amount of goldfish…
…tie the top off with a green ribbon or two, and trim any leftover part of the bag so it’s not sticking up too far.
I’m going to add a couple of these to a certain someone’s Easter basket in a few weeks, and I know he’ll love them!
If you’re not a stickler for sweets in your kiddos Easter basket you could fill these carrots with other orange treats such as orange jelly beans, orange Reese’s Pieces, orange Skittles, etc…
Do you have any other fun ideas for Easter baskets? I’d love to see some of them!
I’ll be linking up at these parties!
