With each new season my front door gets a small makeover {in the form of a brand new wreath}. Hopefully soon it will also get a nice new coat of red paint. Right now, hubby and I are loving the color “Front Door Red” by Valspar and Allen + Roth. So, as I share my Classic Christmas Wreath with you, please excuse and ignore the blah color of the door and the fact that the lock has been replaced thus exposing an unpainted part of the door. Luckily my wreath is just so lovely that you can ignore the drab that is the door itself right now!
I’m all about classic colors and decor for Christmas. Reds, whites, silvers, and tons of greenery are right up my ally. Plus, I think if I were to come home with hot pink, purple, lime green, and bright blue ornaments my hubby wouldn’t step foot in our house until after the New Year.
Last year we purchased a beautiful live wreath as part of a school fundraiser for a friend, but this year they weren’t selling. So, to Hobby Lobby I drove, no coupons needed since all Christmas decor is {and I’m guessing will remain} at 50% off! Woo hoo!
I picked up some pretty stems, a nice big wreath, and called it a success…
After arranging all of these lovelies on my wreath, I decided to add some flat glitter snowflake ornaments leftover from creating my kid friendly Christmas tree this year {more to come on that next week}.
There is no real method to my madness. I simply poked stems in, twisted them around some branches so they’d stay put and called it a day. To secure the snowflakes I actually just used ornament hooks that we already owned and wrapped them around branches. Soon I had this beauty in all of her Classic Christmas glory…
And I absolutely adore her!
What are your Christmas colors this year? Are you a classic or trendy decorator, or do you just have a little bit of everything on display?

Wreath is one of my favorite decorations to make during holidays. Now I am working this unfinished DIY wreath project and I was thinking of using modern with glamour theme.
