My intentions with starting a blog were, I think, pretty similar to most creative blogs out there. I quit my job as a teacher to stay at home to be a mommy {the BEST, most rewarding, and hardest job I’ve ever done}. Once I got into the swing of things as a stay at home mom, I began to get a little stir crazy {especially when my little guy took his naps–thank goodness he’s always been a good napper}. I began to read blogs. Before I knew it, I had a LONG list of blogs that I checked in with on a daily basis. Soon, I became inspired to give it a try myself. So, with the help of a very sweet and generous friend, I bought a domain name and started {Wait Til Your Father Gets Home}. I published post after post for about two months before I shared it with friends on Facebook. I also started participating in Link Parties each week at some of my favorite blogs.
Now, I feel like I’m actually getting somewhere. I’m starting to make a name for myself in the blogging community and making some “bloggy” friends too! I’ve met exchanged emails with several wonderful ladies whose blogs I LOVE to read and whose work I truly admire. I may have not had the opportunity to have met them in person yet, but hopefully one day I will. They have been so supportive and helpful and have even become Swap Sponsors with me! I’d like to introduce you to these lovely ladies now…
Sara from Applestone Drive has an amazing blog! She began with a family blog and after blog stalking several creative blogs {I think we’ve definitely all done that}, she decided to start her own! She and her family are about to move from Texas back to their house in St. Louis on Applestone Drive! Sara also has a fantastic Etsy Shop!
Adrianne from Happy Hour Projects might just be the sweetest blogger out there! She’s featured some of my projects, invited me to guest post, swapped ads with me, and told me to drop her a line anytime I had a question. It’s so nice to feel like I have a friend to turn to if I have a question or two (or three). I love her blog and I’m a pretty frequent participant in her Happy Hour Fridays Link Party! It’s fabulous!
Barbara from Chase the Star is a new bloggy buddy of mine as well! I just love her blog name and all of her crafty tutorials are ah-mazeing! She loves to create and re-create on a budget {that’s my kinda creating}!
Kelly from The Grant Life claims she only pretends to know what she’s doing. Let me tell you…this girl isn’t pretending! She’s got some really cool ideas, including The Mommy Panel and Financial Friday, her link party! I also love when she shares new recipes, they’re serious delicious!
Kelley from Here Comes the Sun has a story that sounds exactly like mine. She loves crafting, design, photography, and being a stay at home mom. She started her blog as a creative outlet to share her loves with others! She also has a super fun link party every Friday called Fabulous Friday!
Kadie from Seven Alive has FIVE CHILDREN…that’s 3 boys and 2 girls…for a total of SEVEN in their family! I don’t know how she finds the time!! She loves to craft, crochet, sew, and cook and of course her kiddos!
Jill from Two Yellow Birds Decor loves yellow and has two kiddos {her birds}. She loves to craft and has a handy hubby that helps her out sometimes {especially when it comes to using a saw}! She’s currently co-hosting the Project Pinterest Challenge that runs until June 11th.
There you have it, all of my swap sponsors (so far). If you’re interested in doing a sponsor swap with me, please contact me at meredith@waittilyourfathergetshome.com! I’d love to feature your button on my sidebar, talk about guest posting, or maybe creating a link party or giveaway together!
Please do yourself a favor and visit all of my awesome sponsors soon! You’ll love their work, I promise!
Please leave a comment, I love to hear from my readers!
